The word “mother” is synonymous with the word “courage”. It is said that during childbirth a woman endures pain that humans can not tolerate in any other situation. So, every woman who dared to have the courage of being a mother is powerful. Do you remember the days when we used to look up to our moms’ eyes whenever we were afraid? With age, our situations change, experiences change. We learn to be numb, we learn to hide our fears; but secretly, we still search for those eyes. Deep down, no matter how much we grow up, we still believe that the most secure and most powerful place for us is our powerful mothers arms. Maya Angelou has described her mother as- “To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power. Or the climbing, falling colors of a rainbow.”
Motherhood embodies different shades of powers, sometimes it is as soft as tenderness, sometimes it is as vibrant as bravery. In fact, one does not need to be a woman, to be a mother. Every creature on this earth, every person from every gender possesses some motherly quality. A policeman who is protecting a street dog with his umbrella is a mother too, for that moment. Let us unitedly celebrate the powers within our mothers through these amazing photographs.
